Cauliflower, Broccoli and Asparagus

Cookware Used:

3 qt Saucepan or 
4 qt Roaster
Steamer inset


    1. Wash and place vegetable into 3 qt steamer inset.
    2. Bring 3/4 water to boil in 3 qt saucepan first.
    3. Water will boil faster if you place the cover on when you start.
    4. Place 3 qt steamer full of vegetables on 3 qt saucepan and cook 12 to 15 minutes according to quantity.
    5. Season taste.

      Alternate Method: Ensure enough moisture is in the pan (see fresh or frozen above) and the heat is not too high as florets are delicate and prone to over-cooking; be gentle with the heat. Use medium whistle low and cook for 10 minutes after whistle.
